PUVA is an ultraviolet light therapy treatment.
Treatment for psoriasis, vitiligo, mycosis fungoides, large-plaque parapsoriasis and cutaneous T-cell lymphoma using the sensitizing effects of the drug psoralen.
As with PUVA, treatment is carried out twice weekly in a clinic or every day at home.

Details

The psoralen is applied or taken orally to sensitize the skin, and then the skin is exposed to UVA.
Psoralens are taken systemically or can be applied directly to the skin.
The psoralens allow a relatively lower dose of UVA to be used.
When they are combined with exposure to UVA in PUVA, they are highly effective at clearing psoriasis and vitiligo.
Treatment for –Vitiligo / Leucoderma / Psoriasis / Eczema
Wave Length- UVA -365nm (Long Wave), UVB – 311nm ( Narrow Band)
Lamp – UVB4W (UVA/4w or UVB/4w)
Black Light – FL4BL
Application -Genital or facial area, skin folds, arm pits, scalp, finger nails, limited spot etc.
Easy to handle & hygienic to use.
Can be adjustable depending on area of lesions.
Supply Voltage 230V/50HZ fitted with compact UVB or UVA tubes.
PRECAUTION -Use Goggle / Protective goggle (without see-through) to protect eyes while using in face/Lips.
Joules will start reducing gradually while using. However, after some time, bulbs can be replaced to get once again the correct wave length.
